Within the framework of the Leonardo da Vinci – Lifelong Learning Programme, the Berlin Police has proposed an internship programme named LUPE which aims 9 week of internship for 10 young police officers in Ankara Police. Turkish National Police has accepted to be the host country for this exchange programme that it will further contribute to the cooperation and mutual understanding among the partners.

According to the project, 10 police officers from the Berlin Police have started the internship programme in Ankara Police on 21^st of March and will finish the programme on 23^rd of May, 2009. The police officers are placed at the related units such as anti fraud, anti smuggling, organized crimes and crime scene investigation units with regard to their fields of expertise. This offers the interns the opportunity to get to know the structures and procedures of the involved departments.
